Today, a brand-new 12-storey office building (Lõõtsa 1a), named after the well-known Estonian chemist Viktor Palm, and the adjacent Viktor Square were opened in Ülemiste campus. The total construction cost of the modern office building, the attached multi-storey car park and the town square is EUR 25 million.

During the opening ceremony, Jaan Roose, a well-known rope walker, walked at the height of the 12th floor along a 107-metre-long slackline, effectively descending with a festive ribbon.

‘The Ülemiste campus is a good example of how a modern urban environment that meets the needs of companies, and at the same time is people-friendly, has been developed. Each additional environmentally friendly and energy-efficient building brings us closer to carbon-neutral management and contributes to making Tallinn a green capital,’ said Mihhail Kõlvart, the Mayor of Tallinn.

‘The Palm building, with its multi-storey car park and town square, is our largest project in recent years, to which we have contributed a great deal – it is also the first step in the next major stage of development’ said Gert Jostov, Chairman of the Management Board of Technopolis Ülemiste AS. ‘The building has just received LEED Platinum certification, which means that the building is extremely environmentally friendly and very efficient to manage.’

With the new office building, 10,800 square metres of modern working environment was added to the campus, the architectural solution of which was created by KOKO architects and built by Oma Ehitaja AS. Next year, a fountain will be added to the square with a seating area, and various events will be held there.

In total, Technopolis Ülemiste currently manages approx. 93,000 square metres of commercial space, with which the company maintains its position as the market leader in Tallinn. The further growth of Ülemiste City gives hope that in the future it will become a separate district of Tallinn.

The new office building and the adjacent multi-storey car park are connected to the gallery, and in addition to parking spaces for more than 520 cars, there is also a bicycle parking lot.
