301/501 is probably the most popular darts game. Each player starts the game with 301 points (alternatively it can be agreed that each player starts with 501 points). In every round each player throws 3 darts and the sum of the throws is reduced from the score. The first player to lower his/her score to exactly 0 wins. If the score goes below 0 then the whole turn of three darts does not count, and the player’s score remains as it was before that turn was taken.
Getting points: dartboard is divided into 20 sectors. Hitting one of the larger main areas of a sector gives points acording on the number next to the sector. Hitting the thin outer circle area scores a double (the score is twice the number on the board). Hitting the thin inner circle area scores a triple (the score is triple the number on the board). Hitting the centre of the dartboard (bullseye) gives 50 points and hitting the circle around the centre gives 25 points.
Advances players can agree that a game can be started and/or finished only with a double (bullseye also counts as a double).
