Public Transport Connections of Ülemiste City: Meeting With Deputy Mayor of Transport Kristjan Järvan and the Tallinn Transport Department on September 12

,   2 minute reading

One of the long-term goals of the Ülemiste City developers is to improve the accessibility of the area, which we can only do in cooperation with good partners and in constant dialogue with stakeholders.

The temporary closure of the airport tram line significantly affected the accessibility of the campus by public transport. Although we have brought additional buses to Ülemiste City, we continue to look for opportunities for better and smoother connections with different regions of Tallinn and Harju County, both today and in the future.

Many thanks to our community members for their opinions, which we have used to make proposals to improve accessibility to Ülemiste City.

On September 12, from 12 to 1:15 p.m., we invite all interested parties to a discussion with the Deputy Mayor of Tallinn and the Tallinn Transport Department, whose representatives will present the s plans for reorganizing the line network and await the opinions and suggestions of the Ülemiste City community to jointly implement the best innovations. Among other things, a fast, direct connection to Viimsi and a connection to Väike-Õismäe that will be created throughout the day (including the weekend) will be discussed.

The meeting will occur in the Öpik conference center (Valukoja 8), room Andromeda.

Program:

• Gathering and lunch snack

• Introduction: Ülemiste City developers

• Tallinn Transport Department’s plans: Head of Public Transport Department Liis Spiegelberg and Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Kristjan Järvan
