FROM CARBON NEUTRAL
TO CARBON NEGATIVE
We are moving towards 100% green energy, managing our resources purposefully, and following the highest standards of sustainable development. This way, we can reduce the carbon footprint of the campus to a minimum. By 2030, we plan to completely switch to environmentally friendly district heating.
HIGHEST STANDARDS in SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
All our new developments wear a proud badge of a LEED certificate from Gold to Platinum marking the highest standards for sustainable development.
moving towards a CAR-FREE future
Global urbanization is affecting all of us. Cities are growing bigger, the population is getting denser and mobility is becoming the number one keyword to deal with. The environment should support public transport and walking, cycling and using a scooter to go to work instead of a car.
This creates a greener, more diverse, more exciting and human-friendlier city space. By 2025 we plan on having up to two times fewer cars per person, which means that by 2030 we could have a car-free campus centre!
Data to green future
With the growth of environmental awareness and reporting requirements, we aim to bring accurate data to our talents to support the journey of as many as possible towards becoming environmentally friendly. For this purpose, we have created the Green City service where the talents of Ülemiste City can get acquainted with aggregated campus data and the resources consumed by their rental space.
GREEN LAB FOR
GREEN INITIATIVES
As one of the most digitally advanced countries in the world, Estonia also wants to become one with the greenest economy. Together with the Green Tiger team and leading partners from the private and public sector, we aim to take a green leap to raise environmental awareness, be the testbed for new ideas and initiatives, create a basis for a green economy and be the driving force for change in society.
